The beautiful Schleier waterfall is a truly idyllic spot. Discover this amazing hidden jewel in the woods beneath the Truckenthannalm alpine hut.
Follow a pleasant hiking route through glorious woodland, along lush meadows, past the Maximilian spring, beneath the impressive rock faces of the mountain Hoher Göll and through an undisturbed natural landscape. After a 1-hour walk and a short ascent, you'll arrive at the picturesque Schleier waterfall. The small waterfall resembles a bride's veil – Schleier being the German word for veil – and provides excellent photo opportunities. Spend some time at the resting spot and stamping station.

ROUTE DESCRIPTION

Parking options nearby at the P4 lakeside car park. After the Salzach bridge, turn right and then immediately left again heading towards Gasteig. The hiking trail starts after the motorway underpass heading towards the Schleier waterfall. Sturdy footwear is recommended!
