The marksmen's festival is held at the Lunzen quarry in Kuchl every 3 years in summer. It attracts numerous visitors for a shared celebration. Over two days, there are small-calibre shooting competitions for clubs and individuals. Prowess in small-calibre shooting is rewarded with great prizes and Kuchl vouchers. Along with a barbecue for all visitors, there are hearty regional delicacies, and a large selection of cakes and gateaux to make the day even sweeter. On the fringes of the festival, there is a ceremonial field mass as well as foot-tapping live music in the daytime, while bars and DJs add to the party atmosphere in the evening.
